Now if I can just figure out what to do with all the bags of chocolate chips I have left over from Christmas baking! :o)

Nesting
So this past week I've been getting into nesting mode. With the baby only a few months away I suddenly feel the need to clean and organize everything! So I started with my kitchen pantry. I love our kitchen pantry but find that I am constantly losing things because the shelves are so deep. I saw this great idea on some other blog about using a hanging shoe rack for organizing your pantry. So I bought a $10 shoe rack at Wal-mart and voila: a bunch more space and some organization to my crazy pantry!
Making Playdough
This past weekend we made some homemade playdough. It was super easy and only required a few ingredients. Connor even had fun helping and playing with it. To get the recipe click on this link: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/making-play-dough-with-kids
December Happenings
A lot happened in the month of December. The first weekend of December, Connor and I bundled up in our PJs and packed up some hot chocolate and went to see the balloons at the Red Rock Balloon Rally. We enjoyed the balloons from the comfort and warmth of our car. Connor thought he was pretty cool to be able to sit in the front seat! :)
Later that day we checked out the Christmas parade downtown. Connor spent 80% of the time attached to Dan's shoulders and the other 20% glued to my legs but ventured out every now and then to grab a few pieces of candy that were tossed in front of him.
His favorite float had not only Mickey & Minny but Buzz and Woody too. You can't tell by the pictures but he was very excited!
December also brought us a furry new kitten that Connor named Nemo. She's very cuddly and very playful!
And let's not forget Christmas and all the fun and family that comes with that. Christmas Eve morning we spent with Dan's family and Connor got some really cool gifts! He got a real tool belt with real tools (including a real saw) from his Aunt Sarah and Uncle Josh (thanks again guys really!:)
After opening presents we went to the gym at Rehoboth and let the kids run around and play while a few of the adults did some climbing. I think we have a future rock climber...
Christmas morning at my parents included lots of presents for Connor, who wasn't really into opening presents and really just wanted to play with whatever toy he opened at that time. Later that day we took his temp and he had a fever of 102, guess he wasn't feeling so well, poor little boy. But he had lots of fun playing with all his toys (mostly Toy Story toys) the next day when he was feeling a lot better!
Dan enjoying his Halo Legos and Connor playing with Mom & Dad.
Thanksgiving 2010
So I realized that it's been awhile since I've updated our blog, and a lot has happened since Halloween. So here are a few blogs and pictures to let you know what we've been up to!
This year we were lucky enough to have 2 Thanksgivings, so that was double the fun, food and family! Connor made a new pal and loved hanging out with my nephew Isaac. This was also Ruthie (the yorkie sitting on Isaac's lap) last holiday with us. She got sick and is now yipping it up in doggie heaven.
Enjoying all the yummy food at our second Thanksgiving. Nice Dan!
