After living in Gallup practically all our lives we figured it was about time to head down to Ramah, NM and check out the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. Not to mention our little Connor (who's name means the lover of hounds) has been practicing his wolf calls. It was quite a long drive out there, and a couple times we wondered if we drove to far, but there ended up being plenty of signs pointing the way. Our tour guide told us all about the wolves and where they came from, some happy stories, some very sad stories, but mostly stories of why wolves should not be pets. Also some very interesting wolf facts. Like did you know, wolves can't bark? Also, wolves have rounded ears where as dogs have pointy ears. Wolves paws are webbed and HUGE.
