A hike to see the owls.

Oma and Opa found some owls and took us on a hike to see them. The boys were very excited. Connor was especially excited to use his new hiking gear!

And this was a pretty steep hike but both boys did great, with some help.

When we got close to the owls we had to be very quite. Or the owls will leave their babies. We didn't see any babies yet but we'll go back in a few weeks and check on them again.

What a beautiful day for a hike!

Logan's 2

Where did the time go? Just yesterday I was holding this little bundle in my arms and smelling that sweet baby smell.

Now he looks and talks and smells like a little boy.
Logan loves:
Elmo
his big brother
reading
coloring
balls
bath time
eating
helping mommy in the kitchen
helping daddy do the dishes
stealing his brother's toys and running away
and being the center of attention and hamming it up:

So Logan was lucky enough to have 2 birthday parties! One with his mommy, daddy, big brother, Aunt Coco, and both Omas and Opas. He got a giant dump truck, an avenger's ball, a basket ball hoop and a big boy bike! What a spoiled boy!

Then today we celebrated with all our friends!

I did blueberry pancake cupcakes with a maple buttercream and some even had little bits of maple bacon on them. Yum!

Little sesame street goodie bags.

Elmo fruit tray

We had a basketball center.

Eating breakfast with friends.

Reading center with Dan.

Coloring & puzzles.

Finishing off the party with a mouthful of cupcake frosting.

Happy birthday sweet Logan. You bring us so much joy and laughter everyday. And keep us on our toes with your adventurous spirit! We love you SOOO much.

Happy Halloween!

Yes, I am aware that i am posting about Halloween on New Year's Day. It's one of my many New Year's resolutions to keep up with my blogging, So i figured i better catch up with some missed moments! And Halloween 2012 was definitely one to remember. :)
Logan helping daddy carve the pumpkin.
Connor didn't really want to have anything to do with it.

Daddy did a good job.
He even carved a spider on the side. Spooky!

Our little batmans!

Connor and his best buddy Caleb, i mean, Captain America!

The beginning of our adventure to fight crime! Or trick-or-treat. My camera batteries went dead at this point so I didn't get any actual pictures of the trick-or-treating process. But I sure wish i did! Connor was of course, kind of shy, but did the job to get the candy. Logan on the other hand. He decided to invite himself in to one house. Just walked right in and stood around. Opa Tamminga had to go in after him while the rest of us stood outside laughing! What a silly guy.

 Our spooky Halloween house!

Logan's first hair cut.

It had to happen. I tried to hold off as long as we could. But it was just getting too out of control!
 It was a mess!
So I started chopping it off. It only took 22 months, but Logan got his first hair cut!

It took about 4 little suckers to get him to sit still.

Doesn't that look better? It was a two day process, Daddy had to get all the spots mommy missed, but now I am handsome, sophisticated, and looking more like a little boy everyday and less like a baby.
